New Features

Updated Forge

A brand new vibe has descended upon the Forge arena! As word of the Battleverse games reaches further and further across the universe, crowds have now begun to gather to witness the action live. Sponsors have also taken notice of these unique champions and thrown their support and sponsorship into the ring! Now at the beginning of each match you’ll fly in and be met with a spectacular view of the spectator section, giving you a glimpse at all of your new adoring fans.

In addition to the revamped spectator section, champions can now experience two versions of the Forge arena. The original horizontal layout and a new vertical orientation where the bridge is structured horizontally. This will give melee champions more advantage against ranged attacks and open up new strategic opportunities in battle.

 

Additionally, we are hard at work on a second arena which a entirely new style and function, so stay tuned!

 

Tutorial changes

We have once again streamlined our tutorial with additional changes based on player feedback. This new tutorial should better teach ability combos and play styles before getting into the Battleverse arena. Now, players can unlock any ability and try out any champion during the tutorial phase to get an in-depth feel for the game. Additionally you’ll earn extra Glory, have a smoother experience with better text prompts and call-outs, and visuals.

 

General

  • Dramatically reduced the size of the Battleverse Champion app.
  • Added estimated queue time to the queue pop-up.
  • Decreased the capture time of powerups from 2 seconds to 1 second.
  • Dramatically reduced the unlock cost for all abilities:
    • Common: Decreased from 200 to 150 Glory.
    • Common (Foil): Decreased from 2000 to 1000 Glory.
    • Rare: Decreased from 500 to 300 Glory.
    • Rare (Foil): Decreased from 4000 to 2000 Glory.
    • Epic: Decreased from 2000 to 900 Glory.
    • Epic (Foil): Decreased from 8000 to 4000 Glory.
    • Legendary: Decreased from 8000 to 3600 Glory.
    • Legendary (Foil): Decreased from 16000 to 8000 Glory.
  • End-of-Match glory rewards are now determined by winning or losing a match.
    • Casual: Players will now earn 40 glory if they win or 30 glory if they lose.
    • VS Bot(Easy): Players will now earn 24 glory if they win or 18 glory if they lose.
    • VS Bot(Medium): Players will now earn 28 glory if they win or 21 glory if they lose.
    • VS Bot(Hard): Players will now earn 32 glory if they win or 24 glory if they lose.
  • Challenge rewards have been increased:
    • Dailies
      • Increased from 5 to 20 Glory of individual daily challenges.
      • Increased from 50 to 75 Glory for the complete all dailies challenge.
    • Weekly
      • Increased from 200 to 300 Glory.
    • Monthly
      • Increased from 1200 to 2000 Glory.

  • General
    • Increased movement speed for all champions by 15%.
  • Bud
    • Range:
      • Toxin Spray: Increased the attack radius from 6 meters to 6.5 meters.
      • Shield Bash: Increased the attack radius from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
      • Repel: Increased the attack radius from 5 meters to 6 meters.
    • Cooldowns:
      • Blinding Mushroom: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 8s.
      • Crippling Mushroom: Decreased the cooldown from 8s to 6s.
      • Entangle: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 8s.
      • Essence Drain: Decreased the cooldown from 8s to 7s.
      • Intoxicating Bolt: Decreased the cooldown from 1s to 0.5s.
      • Nimble Moss: Decreased the cooldown from 3s to 2s.
      • Noxious Trail: Decreased the cooldown from 8s to 7s.

    • Junk Charge: Increased the damage of the trail from 3 to 5 per tick.
    • Rocket Punch: Decreased the charge duration from 4 seconds to 3 seconds. Increased the charge speed from 9 meters per second to 10 meters per second.
    • Grand Slam: Fixed the 2nd stage of the ability so that it can be properly aimed.
    • Range:
      • Double Strike: Increased the attack distance from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
      • Jab: Increased the attack distance from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
      • Primal Rage: Increased the attack distance from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
      • Takedown: Increased the attack distance from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
      • Uppercut: Increased the attack distance from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
    • Cooldowns:
      • Double Strike: Decreased the cooldown from 4s to 3s.
      • Enrage: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 9s.
      • Exhaust Trail: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 7s.
      • Jab: Decreased the cooldown from 1s to 0.5s.
      • Junk Charge: Decreased the cooldown from 8s to 6s.
      • Last Stand: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 9s.
      • Magnetic Surge: Decreased the cooldown from 8s to 7s.
      • Primal Rage: Decreased the cooldown from 5s to 4s.
      • Rocket Fist: Decreased the cooldown from 3s to 2s.
      • Shrapnel Aura: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 8s.
      • Uppercut: Decreased the cooldown from 6s to 4s.
      • Whirlwind: Decreased the cooldown from 5s to 4s.
  • Nika
    • Precise Destruction: Increased the projectile speed from 4 meters a second to 4.5 meters per second.
    • Range:
      • Charged Shot: Increased the impact radius from 4 meters to 5 meters.
      • Pulse Trap: Increased the trigger and attack radius from 3 meters to 4 meters.
    • Cooldown:
      • Charged Shot: Decreased the cooldown from 6s to 5s.
      • Mirror Image: Decreased the cooldown from 12s to 10s.
      • EMP: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 8s.
      • Energized Evasion: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 9s.
      • Forceful Blast: Decreased the cooldown from 5s to 4s.
      • Grappling Bolt: Decreased the cooldown from 8s to 6s.
      • Knockback Trap: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 8s.

    • Tactical Gambit: Fixed a bug which allowed Umbra to use other abilities while using Tactical Gambit.
    • Shadow Stream: Increased the damage from 3 to 6.

      • Predatory Assault: Increased the attack radius from 4 meters to 5 meters.
      • Dimensional Pounce: Increased the first part of the attack’s radius from 4 meters to 5 meters.
      • Execute: Increased the attack radius from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
      • Savage Strikes: Increased the attack radius from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
      • Slice: Increased the attack radius from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.
      • Swipe: Increased the attack radius from 4.5 meters to 5 meters.

      • Calculated Impact: Decreased the cooldown from 5s to 4s.

      • Scatter Darkness: Decreased the cooldown from 8s to 6s.

      • Staggering Halo: Decreased the cooldown from 10s to 8s.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed not being able to aim Grand Slam during the ability’s second stage.
  • Fixed seeing artifacts at the start of the end of match rewards screen.
  • “Waiting for match to start” now fits on one line.
